The Gulf Princess
The distinctive sight of the white ship, with the single brown and black smoke stack. The white superstructure with paddle wheel boxes on each side brought people from their houses to the margins of the Gulf to marvel at this pinnacle of naval engineering. The Princess was built for function and style, she was a sturdy ship and a thing of beauty.
She was commissioned in 1904. The length is 67.8 meters, width is 14.3 meters, speed of 20 km/hour, and power of 650 kw.
Although most of her area was reserved for cargo, spacious cabins occupied half the lower deck, to accommodate wealthy individuals who'd rather travel in style. Her crew has less stylized cabins.
